This handsome Blanc de Noir is a gorgeous drop that will rival many vintage Champagnes. Coming from vineyards near Petworth, this is made from 100% Pinot Noir which has spent almost four years ageing on the lees to result in a wonderfully rich and complex sparkling wine. Roebuck Estate havent been making wines for too long but they are already turning heads with some fabulous awards under their belts, including taking home the prestigious award for Best in Show at Decanter World Wine Awards in 2020.
Serving Suggestions
Serve chilled in a wide-rimmed sparkling wine glass to allow the richer aromas to emerge. This is a complex wine which suits important celebrations, fine dining or an indulgent night in with a good chunk of aged comté. A wine that will impress and convert Champagne-lovers to the wonderful world of English sparkling wine.
Tasting Notes
This is a wine that opens and evolves in the glass over time, so take your time lingering over it. Having spent almost four years on the lees it has developed rich aromas of freshly baked croissants and apple pie, with a nutty note of toasted almonds. With fine but mouth-filling bubbles, it lingers for moments with a long, aromatic finish.
